November 10, 2011
Time: Came to order at 7:30 PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: “41 Room,” Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 7
Minutes: Of October 13, 2011 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
Balance: $1,560.82
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
R. Lyle reported on the Sept. 24 banquet; went well, with a good presentation.
Pastor George Yocum (Anne’s husband) is now on their board; EMPCC has a desire to minister with any needy students at Mansfield Univ.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
Nothing new.
- Harrisburg Office
Handed out “Chapter Focus” newsletter for Oct.
Showed the new “Pro-life is Pro-Woman” brochure, of which we received 125 copies.
- Literature tables at local fairs
Nothing new.
- Other
The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) has distributed a flyer showing the presidential candidates’ position on pro-life issues: handed out copies.
There is the potential again for a bus coming to our area from Williamsport for the January 23, 2012 March for Life in Washington D.C. Our group will continue to learn more about this bus, and whether students plan to attend (under C Hull’s leadership) — we plan to contribute financially toward this effort.
We were disappointed to learn that the “Personhood” bill did not pass in Mississippi.
Someone has posted the address for our web site in the Wellsboro Gazette, to promote our meetings.
