of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
May 12, 2011

Time: Came to order at 7:35 PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: “41 Room,” Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 7
Minutes: Of March 10, 2011 were approved as presented.

Matters of Business:

  1. Finances
    Balance: $935.26.: but still need to pay the invoice for pro-life giveaway materials for at fairs: invoice total is $436.59.
  2. Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
    Distributed their quarterly newsletter: the group is working toward obtaining an ultrasound machine, workers, & office near Sayre hospital.
  3. Baby Bottle fund raisers
    A number have been given back from Crossroads church, with some still to be returned.
  4. Harrisburg Office
    Handed out “Chapter Focus” newsletters for March and April.
    The PPLF sponsored luncheon, held April 14 at Lambs Creek Restaurant, went very well: about 20 were in attendance. M. Ciccocioppo and M. Vitale did a fine job presenting current pro-life concerns and objectives for PPLF and its affiliates, the state and the nation, The Executive Director sent a note thanking our chapter for hosting the Mansfield area event.
  5. Literature tables at local fairs
    At May 7 NCA Yard Sale: had good attendance and positive responses until the rain came in early afternoon. Donations amounted to $10.00.
    Upcoming event on May 25 -28 at Coal Festival, Blossburg: Wed. Thurs., and Fri. nights from 6:00 to 9:30/10 PM will be covered by the Kershners, Yocums, & R Lyle. Saturday’s coverage from 10 AM to closing (c. 9 PM) will be covered by the Cavagnaros, Hritzes, J Miller, and the Stranges.
  6. Other
    R Lyle researched and gave recommendations for political candidates for local & state office: the primary election is to be held May 17. He also showed a sample ballot.
