Time: Came to order at 7:32 PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: “41 Room,” Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 5
Minutes: Of January 13, 2011 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
Balance: $831.26. Note: our account is charged $3/month if balance is under $1,000.
We just received a check from Community of Grace Fellowship. We are pleased to hear that this church is planning to support our group on a monthly basis!
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Nothing new.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
Crossroads Church of Wellsboro effort is in progress.
- Harrisburg Office
>Handed out “Chapter Focus” newsletters for January.
> Michael Ciccocioppo, Executive Director, and Maria Vitale, Education Director, of Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation are planning a series of lunches/dinners & town hall meetings throughout Pennsylvania from April 7 -15. Mansfield was selected for one of the lunches on Thursday, April 14, to meet with these statewide leaders. Our group is being asked to find a location for the lunch.
- Literature tables at local fairs
> Continued to consider extra fairs.
> Upcoming fairs: May 7 - NCA Yard Sale; May 25 -28 - Coal Festival.
- Other
March for Life: Haven’t received a report on the bus that went from our county.
Locally 9 people stood for life for an hour on Jan. 24 in front of Holy Child RCC in Mansfield, in unison with the Washington, D.C., March.
> Were heartened to hear that Planned Parenthood is facing additional opposition after some negative publicity about their operations.
