of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
December 8, 2011

Time: Came to order at 7:35 PM by chairman, J Kershner, who prayed.
Location: “41 Room,” Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 7
Minutes: Of November 10, 2011 were approved as presented.

Matters of Business:

  1. Finances
    Balance: $1,560.82, plus an additional $25 to be deposited from recent gift.
  2. Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
    > Showed their Christmas letter. They are close to getting the portable ultrasound scanner installed.
    > They might possibly send a representative to Mansfield Univ. once per week. Our A. Yocum is one of their counselors-in-training.
    > Note: they are part of the CareNet network of national pregnancy care centers.
  3. Baby Bottle fund raisers
    Nothing new.
  4. Harrisburg Office
    Handed out “Chapter Focus” newsletter for Nov., and showed their Christmas card.
  5. Literature tables at local fairs
    Nothing new.
  6. Other
    > March for Life in Washington, D.C. on January 23. It has been verified that one bus (of their three) is coming to our area from the Williamsport pro-life group for this march. All from Tioga County are welcome to go. Details of bus trip: Cost is only $15.00 per person; leaves Beiters parking lot in Mansfield at 4:30 AM; deadline for sign up is Jan. 3. Approved giving $150 to Holy Child RCC [sponsor of trip, along with St. Peters RCC] from our group for 1. student scholarships [up to 10] and/or 2. bus expenses. S. Cavagnaro agreed to publicize this in the Gazette for the 12/21 & 12/28 issues. Will try to let our sister PPLF group in Bradford Co. know about this bus, too.
    > Heard some national pro-life news from R Lyle.
