of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
September 9, 2010
Time: Came to order at 7:38PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: “41 Room,” Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 5
Minutes: Of July 8, 2010 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
The balance was unavailable, but similar to before.
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Banquet to be held Sept. 25 — some of our group are going. Approved a $200 donation to their work. They hope to have a 3-D ultrasound machine center set up in Sayre in the future; and were also at the Troy Fair.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
Nothing new.
- Harrisburg Office
Handed out “Chapter Focus” newsletters for July & August, plus an additional handout re: national health reform & impact on the number of abortions.
- Literature tables at local fairs
> Workers were noted for at our table for at Tioga County Fair: Kershners, Hritzes, DeGuzemans, R.King, Cavagnaros, A.Yocum.
> R. Lyle supplied additional handouts for at our table.
> Received $28.00 in donations during 3 days.
- Other
> Community of Grace asked J.Kershner to present our work at their church 8/15.
> Life Chains are Sun. 10/3.
> S.Maneval will order voter guides for her use (in southern Tioga County) & our group’s distribution in the remaining parts of the county. We plan to hand these out for wider distribution at our 10/14 meeting.
