(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
October 14, 2010
Time: Came to order at 7:##PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: “41 Room” of Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 4
Minutes: Of September 9, 2010 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
Balance: $868.26.
[Previous balance: $1,088.31 + bottles [Crossroads Church] - Life Chain signs - EMPCC.]
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Lyles and Kershners went to their banquet held Sept. 25, when our group’s donation of $200 was given. Two powerful testimonies were presented that inspire the pro-life cause.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
Nothing new.
- Harrisburg Office
Handed out “Chapter Focus” newsletters for September.
- Literature tables at local fairs
Nothing new.
- Other
Life Chains of Sun. 10/3 - noted the participation at the two gatherings known about: Wellsboro (c. 60) and Mansfield (17). The new signs we bought were used at these locations. Note, though, that we were not able to get the full number of signs ordered due to a cost increase: instead of 100 signs for $58.11 we received only 72.
Voter guides: S. Maneval obtained for area 3,000 pamphlet voter guides for the Pennsylvania November 2 elections; she kept 600 for her use in the southern Tioga County area. She also said that for the next election cycle the guides should be sent directly to our group.
With the people at the meeting we formed a stategy for the distribution of the remaining 2,400 pamphlets via an updated list of over 65 churches.
Approved that $75.00 should be sent PPLF to help offset costs for these pamphlets.
