of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
May 13, 2010

Time: Came to order at 7:40PM by chairman, J Kershner.
R Lyle offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital [Conf. Room], Wellsboro.
Attendance: 6
Minutes: Of April 8, 2010 were approved as presented.

Matters of Business:

  1. Finances
The treasurer reported a balance of $917.58.
  2. Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Their director, Shellie Gerould, spoke to the Wellsboro ministerium on 4/20. She particularly noted local & other people who were conceived in rape and who now have a powerful testimony for life.
  3. Baby Bottle fund raisers
Crossroads Fellowship has now received back most of the bottles handed out to their congregation; these will be turned in to the treasurer tonight.
  4. Harrisburg Office
Handed out recent "Chapter Focus" newsletter for April.
PPLF has information on their web site about candidates for the PA primary election to be held May 18. R Lyle also shared information he obtained about these candidates from the Family Research Institute of PA.
  5. Literature tables at local fairs
Table at New Covenant yard sale — May 8 (Sat.): went well with lots of supportive comments; there were donations of $11.00 given. Note again that NCA gives us this table space for free.
Table at Blossburg Coal Festival: May 26-29 (Wed.–Sat.) — four of the five shifts are being covered: Wed. — Kershners; Thur. — R Lyle; Fri. — not covered; Sat. early — several from St. Peters RCC (Cavagnaros, C Lannik, J Miller, etc.) and Sat. late — the Stranges.
  6. Other
J DeFosse&rsqup;s revised pro-life testimony has been reviewed — it is excellent! We now approve it for placing on our web site.
Samples of a written tract (in different fonts) with this testimony were showed to us by M Strange. These were assessed, and the selected one will be resubmitted to Mrs. DeFosse for her final approval, before duplication and use at our tables this summer.

Next meeting: Thursday, June 10, 2010, at 7:30PM (in conference room or elsewhere, depending on the hospital&rsqup;s construction project).
Note that the president will be unable to attend the 6/10 meeting.
Adjournment: At 8:45 PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

J Kershner, secretary pro tem
