(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
January 14, 2010
Time: Came to order at 7:35PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 8
Minutes: Of December 10, 2009 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
The treasurer reported a balance of $1,582.49.
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Nothing new.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
R. Lyle's church, Crossroads Family Worship Center of Wellsboro, will begin this effort soon.
- Harrisburg Office
Handed out recent "Chapter Focus" newsletter.
- Literature tables at local fairs
Nothing new.
- Other
>March on Washington, DC, Fri., January 22, 2010.
Two buses from New York will stop by Mansfield at midnight to pick up those from our area who reserved a seat; youth on one from Gan Mills, and adults on the other from Rochester. The president will travel on the second bus.
Discussed donations to this effort: agreed that EMPfHL will give $200 from our funds, plus the Cavagnaros will give an additional $100, to local people going on the buses.
S. Cavagnaro will inquire as to where specifically these monies should be given.
>R Lyle knows of a woman who has written a "becoming pro-life" testimony. We plan to put her forwarded letter in its entirety on our web site, and in an abbreviated form in a future newsletter.
Next meeting: Thursday, February 11, 2010, at 7:30PM (in conference room).
Note: Because of planned hospital construction, the group can only meet in this conference room until June; after then a different room will be provided.
