(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
October 8, 2009
Time: Came to order at 7:33PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 5
Minutes: Of September 10, 2009 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
A treasurer’s report was unavailable, but the balance is still about $1,400.
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Their annual banquet is October 24 in Canton.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
We should promote these during the upcoming winter/spring months.
- Harrisburg Office
Handed out recent “Chapter Focus” newsletter.
The annual statewide banquet is October 24 in Scranton.
- Literature tables at local fairs
August 12-14 at Tioga County Fair:
Reimbursed those who worked at this fair and had to pay the $5 entry fee (a total of $25 to three families).
Notations for the future:
> New materials for next year’s fairs: more plastic carrying bags (with pro-life messages); perhaps we could get helium balloons to give away.
> We should try to get another newsletter out soon, since new people signed up to get more information from our group.
- Other
Attendance at Life Chains on Sunday, October 4: Mansfield had 17 (up from only 7 last year), with lots of young people. Wellsboro had its usual good turnout of 50-80.
Next meeting: Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 7:30PM (in conference room).
