(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
November 12, 2009
Time: Came to order at 7:37PM by chairman, J Kershner.
R Lyle offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 8
Minutes: Of October 8, 2009 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
The treasurer reported a balance of $1,382.49.
Donations received from supporters at the Coal Festival were $26.49, and from the Tioga Co. Fair were $45.00.
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
None could go to their banquet this year.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
Promote these during the upcoming winter/spring months.
Could note these on our web site.
- Harrisburg Office
Handed out recent "Chapter Focus" newsletter.
- Literature tables at local fairs
A big “thank you” to C Lannak who sent out a letter to those who signed our sign-up list at the fairs! Her letter informed those ten interested folk of the basics of our group’s purpose and our monthly meetings.
- Other
> March on Washington: to be held Fri., January 22, 2010. A bus is possible via Holy Child RCC again. Perhaps we can contribute financially to this expense. We should inform B Palmer, who sponsors the Newman Society RCC on the Mansfield Univ. campus, so that college students might attend.
> Life Chains: There is a need for new signs to be used at the local chains in October.
R Lyle found out that these can be ordered for $.34 a piece: Research will be done to see if these might be locally reproduced more cheaply.
> R Lyle heard from Life Dynamics about their production of a DVD re: the “black genocide” [large amount of abortions of black babies]. He will obtain a copy to see if we’d like to contribute toward this DVD’s distribution around the country.
Next meeting: Thursday, December 10, 2009, at 7:30PM (in conference room).
