January 8, 2009
Time: Came to order at 7:40PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 8
Minutes: Of November 13, 2008 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
The treasurer reported a current balance of $1,936.81.
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Nothing new.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
Nothing new.
- Harrisburg Office
Handed out latest two "Chapter Focus" newsletters.
- Literature tables at local fairs
Nothing new.
- March for Life
This is slated in Washington, DC for Thursday, January 22, 2009. Holy Child RCC of Mansfield & St. Peter's RCC of Wellsboro will jointly sponsor a bus. Contact secretary Linda Brown to make a reservation. The Cavagnaros will publicize this by: posters, contacting WLIH radio station and putting an ad in The Penny Saver.
The cost of the bus will be $1750, of which several hundred dollars has been pledged already. Our group gave $200 last year toward the cost. Motioned, seconded, and approved to give $300 toward the bus expense for this event — we consider this an "investment for life" from our group.

Noted the statistics re: Abortions in Pennsylvania for the year 2007 [latest year available] supplied by Maria Vitale of PPLF's office.
Next meeting: Thursday, February 12, 2009, at 7:30PM (in conference room).
