of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
May 8, 2008

Time: Came to order at 7:39PM by the chairman, who offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 5
Minutes: Of April 10, 2008 were approved as corrected.

Matters of Business:

  1. Finances
    Our treasurer reported a current balance of $1,931.86, noting recent Heritage House purchases.
  2. Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
    Nothing new.
  3. Baby Bottle fund raisers
    Most of Crossroads Family Worship Center's bottles have come in.
  4. Harrisburg Office
    Handed out recent "Chapter Focus" newsletter.
  5. Literature tables at local fairs
    Materials order - S Strange ordered & items have arrived:
    (a) From Heritage House: usual items and plus the new early stage fetal model set can now be used at the fairs.
    (b) From Life Dynamics: of order, only action card sets arrived; booklets did not.
    Future fairs:
    (a) Sat., May 10: Yard Sale, New Covenant Academy , Mansfield: Kershners will man.
    (b) Wed. - Sat., May 21-24: Coal Festival in Blossburg -
    Application was confirmed; $2 entry fee for pin. Five shifts now covered:
    6-10PM Wed. & Fri.: by Kershners, and Thur. by R Lyle;
    Sat. 10AM-3PM by Cavagnaros/C Lannak, & Sat. 3PM-9PM by Stranges.
    (c) Have heard that other pro-lifers are willing to help us for the first time this year at the Tioga County Fair table.
  6. Other
    Noted that the Independent Bible Church of Wellsboro has displayed a good pro-life banner on their building.
    The secretary will write a thank-you note to the NCA auxiliary in appreciation for the free use of a table at their yard sale each year.
    The chairman will pass along information & literature for use at the Vineyard Church of Wellsboro (requested by J Jones).
    Updated about our web site, monthly minutes, etc.

Next meeting: Thursday, Jun 12, 2008, at 7:30PM (in conference room).
