Time: Came to order at 7:30PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 5
Minutes: Of 7-12-07 were approved as corrected.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
No report was available.
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
The CPC-type New Testaments have not yet been ordered. A visit to the EMPCC hasn't occurred yet.
Passed out brochures having EMPCC's 800 number for women needing counseling.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
Grace Fellowship Church's folk have turned in their bottles, but a total isn't available.
- Harrisburg Office
Handed out two "Chapter Focus" newsletters, and brochures for their pro-life essay and oratory contests.
- Literature tables at local fairs
Showed our new display (cradle with pacifiers and sign) that was first used at the Tioga County Fair, August 8-10. Noted that the pacifiers were donated.
At this fair, the plastic shelves to better display literature worked well.
Suggestion: to make another banner or sign [perhaps with different wording,; e.g., "PA Pro-Life Federation"] to be placed higher/above our table, as well as the one [white with blue print] that is usually used lower, in front of the table.
- Other
Life Chains: will be held on Sunday, October 7, from 2:30 to 3:30PM, at locations in Mansfield, Wellsboro, and perhaps other places in the county.
R Lyle read a report from Life Dynamics that told of computer hackers temporarily shutting down their web site. The site was reporting that 35% of abortions are of Black American babies.
Next meeting: Thursday, Oct 11, 2007, at 7:30PM (in board room).
