MINUTES
of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
November 8, 2007

Time: Came to order at 7:35PM by chairman, J Kershner.
J Kershner offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 5
Minutes: Of 10-11-07 were approved as corrected.

Matters of Business:

  1. Finances
Our treasurer reported a current balance of $2,783.87. Recent income was received from: 1) donations at the Tioga County Fair ($33.35), & 2) Grace Fellowship Church's baby bottles ($42.00). Recent expenses were: 1) $162.72 for New Testaments for use at EMPCC [in both the Canton and Towanda offices], & 2) $60.00 to sponsor a table at EMPCC's banquet.
  2. Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Three Kershners attended their banquet on October 27, in Canton, PA. Showed others the program from this event, which had about 75 in attendance.
  3. Baby Bottle fund raisers
    Nothing new.
  4. Harrisburg Office
    Handed out "Chapter Focus" newsletter.
Decided to send their office $150, which we did last year about this time.
  5. Literature tables at local fairs
Discussed purchasing a smaller fetal monitor set [displays tiny babies at 7-10 weeks of development], at a cost of about $60, for use at next year's fairs: postponed decision until spring, when we would normally order other materials.
Noted that the DVD, "Reversing Roe - the Norma McCorvey Story," is available for about $25.
  6. Other
The bus for the March on Washington (Tuesday, January 22, 2008), now has financial sponsors; and therefore will be reserved by Holy Child Catholic Church. Approved the sponsorship of $200 from our funds, that will cover bus costs for any from our group that want to attend, plus possibly some others.
Noted regretfully that the locally-heard classical radio station has aired ads by Planned Parenthood.

Next meeting: Thursday, Dec 13, 2007, at 7:30PM (in board room).
Adjournment: At 8:08PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

K Kershner, Secretary
