Time: Came to order at 7:31PM by chairman, J Kershner.
R Lyle offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Attendance: 7
Minutes: Of 4-12-07 were approved as corrected.

Matters of Business:

  1. Finances
Treasurer S Strange reported a balance of $3,000.05, with a recent purchase of $293.65 from Heritage House for materials.
  2. Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Our chairman should check with this group to see if:
    a) they could use New Testaments for crisis pregnancy use;
    b) they could use our assistance in the form of transporting clients from our county to their office(s).
  3. Baby Bottle fund raisers
    Nothing new.
  4. Harrisburg Office
Handed out "Chapter Focus" newsletter, information about a pro-life conference and candidates for the primary election.
  5. Literature tables at local fairs
    a) material needs: M Strange has built a "lean-to" to cover our table at the two fairs listed below (these two are outdoors, without any provided protection). Discussed details of fine-tuning the design of this lean-to.
A children's cradle has been purchased (at Toys-R-Us) for the new table display discussed last month; baby items to fill it have not yet been acquired.
    b) upcoming fairs:
    (1) New Covenant Academy yard sale (Mansfield): on Sat., May 12; J Kershner will man the table.
    (2) Coal Festival (Blossburg): on Wed.-Sat., May 23-26: Scheduled shifts to man it by R Lyle, Kershners, Cavagnaros, and Stranges; will seek someone for the last available shift.
  6. Other
Discussed the primary election on 5/15, with information from the Family Institute.
We were thankful that the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the partial-birth abortion ban.

Next meeting: Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 7:30PM (in board room).
Adjournment: At 8:31PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

K Kershner, Secretary
