January 11, 2007
Time: Came to order at 7:35PM by chairman, J Kershner.
R Lyle offered prayer.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro
Attendance: 8
Minutes: Of 12-14-06 were approved as corrected.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
Treasurer S Strange reported a balance of $2,760.35 [unchanged].
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
No additional information. J Kershner will email their chairman, Marcia Baldwin.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
Bakerburg Community Church will do in early 2007.
- Harrisburg Office
Their executive director spoke with the chairman, informing us that local chapters are free to use their local funds however they wish.
We received sample by-laws: we should at some point use these to make up our own.
12/06 edition of "Chapter Focus" from their office was distributed to attendees.
- Other
March on Washington: Vice-chairman N Cavagnaro provided posters from Holy Child RCC about the bus trip they are sponsoring on Monday, January 22: the costs have been revised to only $20 for students and $40 for adults.
Motioned and approved for EMPfHL to sponsor scholarships for up to 5 students [for a total of $100] to encourage any students to go who might not have the money.
J Kershner will contact Holy Child's secretary about this.
Next meeting: Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 7:30PM (in board room).
