of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
July 13, 2006
Time: Came to order at 7:36PM by chairman, J Kershner.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro
Number in Attendance: 7
Minutes: Of 6-8-06 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
Our treasurer reported a balance as of today of $1,663.72. We have received lots of donations via St Peter’s RCC of Wellsboro (100+ bottles!), but the amount hasn’t been tallied yet.
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
Passed around one of their newsletters.
- Literature tables at local festivals
Tioga County Fair, August 9-11, Whitneyville
Will need to cover 6 shifts: 10AM-4PM & 4PM-10PM, on each of three days: Wed., Thurs., and Fri.: R Lyle and the Cavagnaros will cover 2 shifts, with C Lannak or J Miller and the Kershners covering the remaining shifts.
Discussed about donations: only suggested, not required, amounts can asked for any of our handouts (i.e., non-literature handouts, such as buttons, etc.) since we are a non-profit group.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
Currently bottles are out at St Peter’s RCC, Wellsboro. Grace Fellowship Presbyterian, Mansfield, will begin their effort on July 23.
- Advertising
R Lyle read the WLIH’s Bulletin Board announcement and the next proposed announcement.
- Newsletter
New names will be added to our mailing list, gathered from fair tables.
- Materials
Discussed what type of materials to get and to not get for the literature tables.
Next meeting: Thursday, September 14, 2006, at 7:30PM (in board room).
Note: no August meeting because of Tioga County Fair.
Adjournment: At 8:30PM.
