of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
December 14, 2006
Time: Came to order at 7:34PM by chairman, J Kershner.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro
Attendance: 6
Minutes: Of 11-9-06 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- Finances
Treasurer S Strange reported a balance of $2,760.35 [unchanged].
- Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
The chairman tried to contact their director, but could not connect -- should try email.
- Baby Bottle fund raisers
A member of Bakerburg Community Church has come by and gotten 50 bottles -- they will try to begin their effort in early 2007.
- Harrisburg Office
The chairman phoned and corrected their accounting of our chapter's recent donation [it was attributed incorrectly].
Also spoke with the secretary about by-laws and the use of our local funds: the director will get back to him about this.
We are receiving "Chapter Focus" from their office -- this is a monthly update of information.
M Strange will let the capital office know about our chapter's web site.
- Other
March on Washington: Holy Child RCC is sponsoring a bus On Monday, January 22, 2007: the cost is $40.00/person, with departure at 5:00AM & return at 10/11PM. This information should be put on our web site, pending approval by Holy Child. It was suggested that our chapter could make scholarships available for those intending to go, especially students.
Use of room at Soldiers & Sailors Hospital: The chairman has spoken with the hospital's personnel to arrange this through Dec. 2007.
Next meeting: Thursday, January 11, 2007, at 7:30PM (in board room).
