Matters of Business:

  1. Finances
The treasurer reported a bank account balance of $1,730.95. Treasurer will check to see if our local chapter owes some dues to the state office. Also will: 1) inform them of our officer changes, and 2) ask about any conflict of interest with Care Net, the umbrella organization for Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC).
  2. Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC)
    No further update.
  3. Literature tables at local festivals
We are planning to be at three festivals this summer:
    1- May 13: New Covenant Academy Yard Sale, Mansfield - J & K Kershner will man a table there (9AM to 3PM).
2- May 24-27: Coal Festival, Blossburg - Need volunteers to cover about 25 hours of shifts: Wed., Thurs., & Fri. for 6-11PM, and two shifts on Sat. for 11AM-4PM and 4-9PM. Stranges & Kershners agreed to cover two shifts during the week. Others will be sought from: R Lyle, Manevals, Laboskys, C Lannak, J Miller, and N Cavagnaro -- these have all helped before.
3- August 9-11 (Community Days): Tioga County Fair, Whitneyville - will set up schedule later.
  4. Baby Bottle fund raisers
    No update.
  5. Advertising
M Strange will fix Wellsboro Gazette ad, and K Kershner will submit ad on Blue Ridge Cable TV’s channel 13.
  6. Materials
We have acquired a sample item for possible give-away use in our pro-life efforts: a plastic model of a 12-week-old fetus. This can be obtained for $40/100 models. May not be useful for us, but rather at a CPC -- can discuss later.
Life Cycle Books stocks a video, “Ultrasound -- Eyewitness to the Earliest Days of Life,” which could be played continuously on a literature table at a festival setting. S Strange will check into whether or not a DVD is available of this.

Next meeting: Thursday, May 11, 2006, at 7:30PM (in board room).
Adjournment: At 8:18PM.

Respectfully Submitted,
K Kershner, Secretary
