MINUTES
of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
October 13, 2005

Time: Came to order at 7:40PM by moderator pro tem, J Kershner.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro
Number in Attendance: 5
Minutes: Of 9-8-05 were approved as presented.

Matters of Business:

  1. Re: officers
We have learned that our Vice-Chairman Nick Cavagnaro will remain in the area, and is willing to continue serving. However, we are still in need of someone to serve as chairman in place of Mario Branciforte. But since we again only have five in attendance tonight, it was recommended to postpone elections until the November 10 meeting.
  2. Finances
The Treasurer’s report is unavailable, but it is known that the bank account has over $1,600.
  3. Fairs & our education table
A- Fall Harvest Festival, Wellsboro (10-1). The Chamber of Commerce denied us a space for a table this year because of complaints from last year. C Clarke will speak with a woman she knows on the chamber. Perhaps someone on the Wellsboro Ministerium could help address this problem.
B- Future fairs. Suggestions were made to have a table at one or more of the following: Dickens Festival (Wellsboro), Coal Festival (Blossburg), Apple & Cheese Festival (Canton).
  4. Life Chains
Life Chain was well attended in Wellsboro; not as good in Mansfield. Discussed trying to get more information to Mansfield Univ. students.
  5. Real Alternatives in Mansfield
Discussed the loss of this group, but also the possibility of getting a satellite in Mansfield connected with the CPC of Canton. Holy Child RCC of Mansfield has supported this group for years, and it seems would be happy to see and support an office in its own town.

Next meeting: Thursday, November 10 at 7:30PM
Adjournment: At 8:52PM.

Respectfully Submitted,
J Kershner, Secretary (with assistance from K Kershner)
