of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting

September 13, 2004
Time: Came to order at 7:35PM by Chairman Mario Branciforte.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro
Number in Attendance: 5
Minutes: Of 8/9/04 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- The Treasurer’s report was unavailable.
- Regarding our table at the Tioga County Fair (August 11-13):
Went fairly well, the first day (“Family Day”) being the best for people coming by and taking literature. Received about $20 in donations. The location was good (inside) since the week was very rainy. However, the baby changing table was not utilized as much as in 2003.
* Fall Harvest Festival -- 9AM to 5PM on Sat., October 2, in Wellsboro. The following will supply baked goods: Laboskys, Manevals, Stranges, Lyles and Kershners. S Maneval will coordinate items needed for that day.
- Our Chairman’s recent interview with a local radio show host, John Antonio, went well.
- We received information about a local meeting of the Republican Party on 9/14 in Wellsboro, to promote pro-life Presidential candidate, George W Bush. Note that many conservatives resent the fact that party officials promoted pro-abortion senatorial candidate Arlen Specter, rather than pro-life candidate Pat Toomey.
- Noted that personnel at the Guidance Center may be in transition.
Next meeting: Monday, October 11 at 7:30PM.
