MINUTES
of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
October 19, 2004

Time: Came to order at 7:30PM by Chairman Mario Branciforte.

Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro
Number in Attendance: 12

Minutes: Of 9/13/04 were approved as corrected.
(Note: a meeting was attempted on 10/11; but since there was not a quorum, the meeting was postponed until 10/19.)

Matters of Business:

  1. The Treasurer reported a balance of $314.65.
  2. Regarding our table at the Fall Harvest Festival, Wellsboro (October 2): Things went well, with a number of good conversations, a lot of literature handed out, and $89 income from the sale of baked goods (with an additional $70 donated prior to the sale, for a total of $159.00). Noted items which sold well and which did not, in addition to supplies needed for rainy weather.
  3. We took time to put inserts (about pro-life U.S. Senatorial candidate, Jim Clymer) into the pro-life voter guides received from the Harrisburg office. [Special thanks to Living Word Fellowship for running off these inserts!] The 3,000 voter guides were divided up for distribution to churches in and around Tioga County in time for the November 2 general election.
  4. We heard more about the “baby bottle” fund raising project: the cost would be about $260 for 200 bottles (a case) shipped to us. Motioned, seconded and approved to purchase a case of bottles to begin this project, the first batch to go to three churches in the Westfield area.
  5. Re: the Guidance Center in Mansfield: Supervisors for the center were spoken to, who informed us that the local worker has resigned. However, they are in the process of hiring a replacement, who they will have contact us when ready to start work.

Next meeting: Monday, November 8 at 7:30PM.
Adjournment: At 8:45PM.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joel Kershner, Secretary
