MINUTES
of Endless Mountains Pennsylvanians for Human Life Meeting
(a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation)
December 13, 2004
Time: Came to order at 7:32PM by Chairman Mario Branciforte.
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro
Number in Attendance: 7
Minutes: Of 11/8/04 were approved as presented.
Matters of Business:
- The Treasurer reported a balance of $178.55.
- J Kershner heard from Tina Thomas with the Guidance Center -- their likely candidate for the local position (in Mansfield) fell through. Therefore, they will need to go through the process again. She will inform us when able to give an update.
- The 200 bottles for the “baby bottle” fund raising project have arrived. The Laboskys will distribute the first batch as follows: 50 for St. Thomas (Elkland) and St. Catherine (Westfield) Catholic Churches, Pastor Fr. Joseph Gilbert; and 25 for Clymer Baptist (Sabinsville), Pastor Sieders.
- The Pro-Life march in Washington, DC, is scheduled for Monday, January 24. The area Roman Catholic Churches are planning to go, but details were unknown.
- The Chairman raised the topic of changing the night of our meetings. We desire to get greater participation, and it is known that a number of people can’t come to our meetings because of conflicts on the second Monday of the month. After discussion, we decided to ask the hospital if we could meet on a different night -- our first choice: second Thursday of the month (next meeting would then be 1/13/05); or our second choice: third Monday (next would be 1/17/05).
Next meeting: Thursday, January 13 at 7:30PM OR Monday, January 17.
Adjournment: At 8:18PM.
Respectfully Submitted,
Joel Kershner, Secretary
